RIS offers structured language learning programs for ESL students, including TOEFL prep and IELTS prep courses. We also currently offer language courses in Farsi/Dari and Pashto.

Beginner English Modules
ESL-100 Level 1 - Beginner English: ESL for Adults
ESL-101 Level 2 - Beginner English: ESL for Adults
Description
Our Level 1 and Level 2 ESL courses introduce the English language to beginners. Using a variety of teaching methods, our virtual classrooms are designed to help language learners develop the foundations for English from the convenience of their own homes. There are currently two Beginner English modules available, with each module running a total of ten weeks. After passing the Level 2 practical exam, you will be able to advance to our intermediate level modules.

- Grammar: Studying language structure and applying English language rules

After passing the Level 4 practical exam, you will be able to continue on to our advanced level modules.

Our English Skills modules are to be used in conjunction with our other ESL courses, to help students target specific areas of learning that may need improvement. Utilizing a variety of teaching methods, our virtual skills laboratories are designed to supplement the knowledge language learners acquire in their regular ESL courses. There are currently four, 4-tier English Skills courses on offer: Reading Comprehension, Practical Listening, Conversational English, and Academic Writing. Each module runs a total of ten weeks.

TOEFL Prep
The Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) is a standardized test used to assess the English language proficiency of non-native speakers who plan to enroll in English-speaking universities.
Students at RIS have the opportunity to prepare for the TOEFL iBT with the help of ESL certified instructors who are themselves native English speakers. Using a structured online program and a variety of digital resources, this course guides you through various exercises and practice tests that will help you prepare for your exam. All four academic English skills that are featured on the TOEFL are covered: Reading, Listening, Speaking and Writing. The TOEFL prep course will last a total of eight weeks.
IELTS Prep
The International English Language Testing System (IELTS) is a test of English proficiency that can be used for immigration purposes, academic pursuits, or professional endeavors. More than three million people take the IELTS every year, and it is currently recognized by over 11,000 organizations worldwide, including companies, educational institutions, immigration agencies, and more.
Students at RIS have the opportunity to prepare for the IELTS with the help of ESL certified instructors who are themselves native English speakers. Using a structured online program and a variety of digital resources, this course guides you through various exercises and practice tests that will help you prepare for your exam. All four academic English skills that are featured on the IELTS are covered: Listening, Reading, Writing, and Speaking. The IELTS prep course will last a total of eight weeks.
Farsi/Dari Courses
Students at RIS are provided with the opportunity to learn Dari and Farsi from instructors who are native speakers of those languages. Levels range from beginning to advanced. Using a structured online program and a variety of digital resources, students will focus on grammar, vocabulary, reading, writing, speaking, and listening.
Pashto Courses
Students at RIS are provided with the opportunity to learn Pashto from instructors who are fluent in both English and Pashto. Levels range from beginning to advanced. Using a structured online program and a variety of digital resources, students will focus on grammar, vocabulary, reading, writing, speaking, and listening.
